A Case of Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma of the Vagina

Abstract

|
In this report a 48 year old female with characteristic clinical and pathologic feature of alveolar soft part sarcoma of vagina is presented.
Alveolar soft part sarcoma is rare malignant soft part sarcoma, consisting of less than 1% of all soft part sarcoma. There is still considerable controversy as to histogenesis of alveolar soft part sarcoma, myogenic origin has been perposed on
basis of
electron micropic and immunochemical studies. Alveolar soft part sarcoma has a prediction has a prediction for female and for the right side of body. The principle metastasis sites are the lung, followed by brain and skeleton. Treatment is not
parrioslary promising, but surgical excision of primary and metastatic lesion and radiotherapy or chemotherapy are recommanded.
We experienced a alveolar soft part sarcoma of vagina of vagina and so we present it with brief review of literature.
